Vintage GAME BIRD PlatesRoyal Adderley Bone China
Made in England
This is a vintage set of 4 decorative Royal Adderley Floral mini-plates that belonged to my parents. I believe they are from the early 1950's. The fine bone china plates were made in England. Royal Adderley was a well-respected, old Stoke-on-Trent bone china company eventually bought by the Royal Doulton group. Stoke-on-Trent is a city known as "The Potteries," and home of English Bone China. At the time these plates were made, they were a fully-independent firm making some beautiful china.
These dishes have beautifully detailed images of game birds, including Mallard Ducks, Pheasants and Partridges. They can be used as teabag caddies, or to hold butter, jam, bon-bons, or any small tidbits.
Each plates measures 4" square.
Excellent condition! Free of chips, cracks or crazing. There are a couple of very tiny scratches on one partridge's head and male pheasant. Very minor - see photos for detail.
